Don't you think studing Biblical Prophecy and Prayer just gives you stronger faith?

and courage as you see unfolding current events that are affecting our planet?

Such as these latest events:

Battered by bad economic news, consumer confidence plunged while wholesale food, energy and medicine costs soared, pushing inflation up at the fastest pace in a quarter century

third report Tuesday showed that home prices, measured by the S%26amp;P/Case-Shiller Index, dropped by 8.9 percent in the fourth quarter of last year, the steepest drop in the 20-year history of the index

A 4th strong 6.7-magnitude earthquake struck off Indonesia's Sumatra island early Tuesday, the US Geological Survey said, sparking a local tsunami alert

Don't you think studing Biblical Prophecy and Prayer just gives you stronger faith?
The purpose of prophecy is NOT to make people feel smug. If you read it properly, you will see yourself in it, and not necessarily as a victim. Properly understood, prophecy will motivate you to take action to make the world better, not sit idly by and watch people suffer. You are either part of the solution or part of the problem. Jesus had no patience with people who mouthed platitudes and acted "virtuous". He only respected people who were actively trying to transform the world and build up the kingdom of heaven.
Reply:I guess you could say that.

I don't believe in a God, but I have faith in love. Faith that it unites people.

And being here in R%26amp;S is a form of religious study. It is also strengthening my faith in love, because it strengthens my love.

So, following a logical path through the above information, I conclude that indeed my faith is strengthened by religious study.

((((hugs))))
Reply:It didn't work that way for me. It only led to more and more questions without plausible answers.
Reply:It does make me stronger in faith, and realizing that there is so much more spiritualy to live for than whats on this earth.
Reply:Yes reading scripture and prayer will increase your faith.

But regarding the news items...none of that is important.

Don't get caught up in end-times prophecy gloom and doom. If it is so, you cannot stop it. It is written and therefore must occur. If it is false, then you waste much life on "the cares of this world".

Love God and be happy.

Peace
Reply:the news tends to just reinforce my belief in God,since God told us these things would happen...yes
Reply:YES GODS WORD IS FOOD FOR YOUR SOUL... THE WORLD AND THIS SYSTEM IS FALLING NO HOPE FOR THOSE THAT DONT BELIEVE IN JESUS ... HE S THE SAVIOR ;;;
Reply:i like that it gives me the ability to answer whatever questions non-believers might have. that it backs up my faith.
Reply:No, in fact, I suspect the buy-bull kills brain cells.
Reply:Our lives are easier and more comfortable then ever in the history of the world.
Reply:Yes, I do.
