Can any one find me a job, do any one need an exploration geologist?

I am a professional geologist with more than 20 years of experience. I have served the Geological Survey of India, one of the world's premier organizations as senior geologist.

I have vast experience in Geological. Geophysical, Geochemical exploration and surveys, mineral exploration, Geo-technical and Geo-environmental investigations, Land-form mapping and terrain analysis and bore-hole geochemistry.(Bore hole geochemistry is a super specialty through which ore deposits can be found on a sure shot basis)

I have also worked as Head of Office and have sufficient experience in Budgeting, programming, planning, execution and completion of mineral exploration projects.

With your experience, I bet you can find a job easily.

Various vacancies are offered through the internet, but the best will be to contact companies directly. Look for mining companies and ask them directly.
Reply:My experience appears to be the problem. No company wants to employ a person who is 57 years old. I appreciate all those who answered. However i tried and applied for more than 100 jobs through internet and also directly to the companies. None of these have yielded any result. What should i do? Report Abuse

Reply:I have no commitments and can travel and relocate any where. I am healthy and want to work. Report Abuse

Reply:A friend of mine now works in a geology job in Iceland.

No training or experience. Got the job anyway.

There is a HUGE demand there for people doing geology because of all the geothermal projects there.
Reply:Wow! You seem to have all the necessarry qualifications for a great job with Geology prerequisites. Why are you asking on this forum? This is not a jobs website. With your area of specialization you should be going through the Geological Institute of some international sort. Another idea is to contact some of the oil industries. My uncle was a geological expert in the oil industry in the Western portion of the US. He helped find/predict oil fields and drill sites. Can you use your knowledge in Archeology? How about research at the South or North Pole? Suppose you go to the colleges around you or in other countries that may have job listings? I hope things work out for you.
